We spent most of that year going back and forth across two states to see each other. (I definitely cried the most that year.) We ended up spending that year being engaged and separated by about 7,000 miles this time.

I would have cried the most in my life that year with all of our hellos and goodbyes until… One of the toughest things about being in a long distance relationship is that it can feel really rote and tired after awhile.

Though that is one definition of the word, it’s not a good thing to base a relationship on. Now I have a hard time even remembering all their names.

So saying “I love you” based on how I feel in the moment doesn’t really mean much, and doesn’t seem very honest in hindsight.

  1. Two hours would have been well worth it, but three hours is incredible. Hey Dave, Just saw you for the tenth time and its amazing how different you manage to make every show and yet I love all the stories that you weave in and out of your show.
